"allow_url_fopen" is a PHP function to define loading times and to load content via external URLs. This function needs to be enabled to use GREYD.SUITE. Most hosting providers do this by default.

In case the function is disabled, hosting providers often refer to security risks, since wrong usage of the function may lead to security issues. However, with GREYD.SUITE's code standard, its extensive security concept and regular pen tests, this is not a problem here. Thus, the function can be used without risk.
